Speaker Agreement and Recording Waiver

Thank you for proposing a talk for OCX. By submitting a talk to the conference, you are agreeing to the terms of this agreement.

Your talk and related materials will be made available following the event under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Terms

In submitting a talk to OCX, I agree to the following terms:

Presentation commitment

I agree to present my talk at the conference and to deliver content consistent with the description and intent submitted to the programme committee.

Accuracy of my talk description

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the published description of my talk, and I will use the website to correct any errors of fact, formatting, grammar or spelling.

No warranties

I provide my materials "as is", without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

Permission to publish my details and materials

I grant the Eclipse Foundation the permissions and rights necessary to publish my name, organisation, photograph, biography, talk title, abstract and presentation files on the conference website and app, in promotional materials prior to the event, and to include them in any materials distributed at the conference.

Consent to recording and distribution

I grant the Eclipse Foundation the permissions and rights necessary to transcribe, reproduce and distribute a recording of myself and my presentation, in whole or in part, under the terms of the Eclipse Public Licence 2.0 (EPL-2.0) or a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. This may include publishing the recording on Eclipse Foundation websites or on third-party video platforms, including but not limited to YouTube. I represent and warrant that, to the best of my knowledge, I have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the presentation materials and that such materials do not knowingly infringe any third-party intellectual property rights I grant this right without expectation of compensation or other remuneration. 

Registration and expenses

I understand that I must register to attend the conference and that I am responsible for the costs of attending and preparing for it, including accommodation and travel.

Vendor neutrality

I understand that technical sessions at OCX are vendor neutral, and I undertake not to distribute promotional materials or collect email addresses for sales leads during my talk.

Time for questions

I understand that talks are limited to a set length, and I undertake to leave time at the end of my session for audience questions.

Duration

All permissions and agreements set out here are effective in perpetuity and extend to the Eclipse Foundation, its contractors, sublicensed distributors and agents.
