OCX is committed to running a sustainable conference. We build eco-friendly choices into every part of the event, from a repurposed venue and comprehensive recycling to local, seasonal catering and reduced swag, to minimise our environmental footprint and help redefine what a greener conference looks like.
Clearly signed recycling points throughout the venue help attendees sort their waste and support a circular economy.
We choose a venue that prioritises sustainability, favouring repurposed spaces that reduce the demand for new construction and lower the event's overall footprint.
Surplus food is redirected to local charities or composted, minimising the impact of discarded food.
We choose stand structures that can be rented and reused for future events, cutting single-use materials and waste.
Invitations, schedules and information packs are shared digitally, with QR codes for check-in and recyclable badges, to minimise paper waste.
We encourage attendees to travel by public transport, bicycle or car-sharing, and our Venue page lists the lowest-impact routes to the venue.
We work with caterers who source food locally and seasonally and follow eco-friendly practices such as composting and recycling, reducing the carbon footprint of transport.
We limit giveaway production and support tree-planting initiatives, such as One Tree Planted, to offset our carbon footprint.
Small choices add up. Here’s how you can help us keep OCX green:
Sustainability is built into how we plan and run the event, and we refine our approach with every edition. From the venue we choose to the food we serve and the way we travel, each decision is a chance to lower our impact. Join us in making OCX a greener event, one sustainable step at a time.
